Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter! As we gear up for another vibrant school year, we are filled with enthusiasm and gratitude. Here on the Boise State University campus, St Paul’s Catholic Student Center's mission is to support students in their faith journey. Together, we aim to create a nurturing environment where our students can excel academically, spiritually, and socially.
A Message from Our Chaplain, Fr. Nathan Dail
Dear Families and Students,
As we dive into this new academic year at St Paul’s, I want to warmly welcome all of our students and their families. The campus is alive with fresh excitement and limitless possibilities, reminding us of the amazing journey ahead. This is a wonderful chance for our students to strengthen their faith, engage fully with their studies, and build lasting friendships. I encourage our students to embrace this experience, keeping their hearts open and staying rooted in faith as they navigate challenges and victories throughout the year.
For parents, your support is crucial in this journey. Whether it's sending your child to college for the first time or welcoming them back, remember you are part of the St Paul’s community. Together, we will nurture an environment of love, service, and faith. Let’s celebrate the opportunities ahead and I invite you to get involved and support us throughout the year.
Reflecting on Our Past Events
Last year was filled with enriching experiences that strengthened both our students and our community. A standout was the all-guys silent retreat at Marymount Hermitage, where our male students shared reflective moments and returned with a renewed sense of purpose.
Holy Week was transformative, as students took part in various liturgical services that allowed them to deepen their connection with God.
Our Building a Legacy- Endowment Benefit Dinner was another success by raising $80,000 to kickstart our endowment fund and support future generations.
The Spring Fling Dance was a blast, hosting nearly 60 students, who created unforgettable memories celebrating the end of the semester.
We also organized a pilgrimage to Fatima and Lourdes, where students prayed and reflected in the footsteps of saints.
Additionally, we participated in FOCUS’s SEEK event in Salt Lake City, witnessing more than 21,000 attendees inspired by impactful speakers. Each of these experiences underscores our commitment to fostering spiritual growth and community.
Latest Update on the Chapel Renovation
The chapel has recently undergone a significant renovation, particularly focusing on the sanctuary floor. The dark wood floor has been replaced with a beautiful stone, thanks to the generous contributions of a donor who provided time, talent, and materials for this much-needed upgrade.
Features of the Renovation
The new stone floor adds a welcoming, bright, and clean touch to the sanctuary.
Students also contributed their time to assist with the renovations in between classes.
Acknowledgments
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Steve Heasley and his crew for their hard work and dedication in making this renovation possible!
Exciting Summer Plans and Renovations
This summer, we have an action-packed schedule that’s sure to energize our student community! Planned outings include camping trips, white-water rafting, and river floating adventures. After Wednesday Masses, we'll gather around the campfire for delicious s'mores while creating lasting bonds and memories.

We’re also launching renovations at St Paul's to enhance our welcoming atmosphere. Our building will receive some much-needed refreshment, and we’ll be painting vibrant murals in the courtyard. These murals will symbolize our faith, culture, and the joyful spirit of St Paul's, inviting everyone to engage meaningfully with our community. We are excited to unveil these changes and hope they inspire our students to connect even more with our programs and each other.

A Note on Giving
To continue enhancing our experience at St Paul’s, we’ve established a new Endowment Fund. This support allows us to maintain our traditions while expanding our outreach efforts. Let’s be real: donating can sometimes feel daunting. But we’re here to change that!
Picture this: you’re relaxing on your couch, enjoying your favorite show, and you choose to make a donation. What if this small act of generosity makes you feel even better than your latest binge-watch? Your contributions help keep our lights on and our coffee brewed for those late-night study sessions. Let’s make donating feel easy and natural—our students would appreciate that extra caffeine to fuel their aspirations!
Remember, every dollar counts. Your contributions lift our community and help shape a future where students can positively impact the world. If you’re thinking about donating, keep in mind that giving to St Paul's not only embodies our spirit but also brings joy to both you and our students!
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I encourage all families and parishioners to join us in our mission at St Paul's. Your support allows us to nurture the spiritual and academic lives of our students, creating a dynamic environment that encourages growth, friendship, and faith.
