St. Faustina and Divine Mercy Sunday
St. Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun and mystic who is best known for her devotion to the Divine Mercy of Jesus. She received revelations from Christ, which she recorded in her diary, emphasizing God's mercy and the importance of trusting in Him. Her work laid the foundation for the Divine Mercy devotion, which highlights the theme of God's unconditional love and forgiveness. Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Sunday following Easter Sunday, as established by Pope John Paul II in 2000. This day encourages the faithful to reflect on God's mercy and to seek reconciliation through the Sacrament of Confession.
